Liberal Index | Half of the countries in the World are behind Bangladesh

Bangladesh is ranked 74th in the index of the most liberal countries around the world. Recently Britain's Charity Aid Foundation (CAF) has made this listing among 146 countries across the globe. Bangladesh also ranked ninth among all the Asian countries on the list of CAF World Guiding Index 2018 and fourth in South Asia. The people of Bangladesh are behind more than half of the world's people in the index.

Bangladesh is one of the first three developed countries in the world others two are Congo and Paraguay. This list has been prepared based on these three criteria, Helping someone who are strangers, Donating in charity foundation and Working voluntarily in any organization. In these regards, the score of Bangladesh is 31 out of 100.

Indonesia is at the top of the list with average 59 points. The other 9 countries in the top ten list are Australia, New Zealand, United States, Ireland, United Kingdom, Singapore, Kenya, Myanmar and Bahrain. Yemen is below all the countries. The previous two countries of Yemen are Greece and China. Apart from Indonesia and Bangladesh, eight other countries in Asia are Singapore, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Nepal, Republic of Korea, Thailand and Philippines.

The report said that after staying at number one for four years, Myanmar moved up eight points to the ninth position in the index. And Indonesia has been ranked first in the second place since last year.

What is the index:
The report has been published mainly by the United Kingdom based Charity Aid Foundation with the help of an analysis of data from the United States based data analysis organization Gallup. Some of the world's organizations with Gallup information conduct some of the most popular surveys and research. These include research such as the Happiness Index, Financial Literacy Index etc.

Throughout the year 2017, there was a number of questions were asked to the specific number of people of the city and of the villages in these 146 countries. Questions were:

Did you do any of these three jobs last month?
  1. Did you help anyone whom you did not know?
  2. Donated a charity?
  3. Has any organization or organization volunteered?

Giving index 'or' parasitical index 'is created by estimating a result for the country based on these answers of a sample population of a country.

Bangladesh is ranked 74th in the Index, but ranked 7th on the index to help the most number of strangers in the world. But the position of Bangladesh in favor of unknowing people as a percentage is 44. In the case of donation charity it is 79th and voluntary work it is 110th.

But there is no developed or rich country in the world's top index. Indonesia is first in this index. Singapore is 7th and Myanmar is 9th who remained at number one in 2010, but now it has slipped 9 steps.

CharityAid Foundation (CAF) said in their report that their work, including this survey, has been helping donor agencies work more deeply for the last 90 years.
