The Maitree Express between Dhaka and Kolkata and the Bondhan Express between Kolkata and Khulna will be re-launched on 29 May 2022.
Maitree Express will start its journey
from Dhaka. Bondhan Express will start its journey from Kolkata.
The Indian High Commission in Dhaka
said this on Friday (May 19). The notice was published on the official website
of Indian High Commission in Bangladesh.
The Mitali Express between New
Jalpaiguri and Dhaka will start from New Jalpaiguri on June 1 after the virtual
launch of the Railway Ministers of India and Bangladesh.
Passenger train communication between
Bangladesh and India was closed for the last two years due to Covid-19 epidemic.
