Established
in the year 2001, Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (IEPZ) is located in Ishwardi
upazila under Pabna district. Total land area of the EPZ is 309 acres. Ishwardi
is one of the famous upazila in the country and an important business area. The
first Nuclear Power Plant of the country is here under construction. Below are

Export Processing Zone was established in 2001, the first investment was in the
year of 2004-05 and total investment amount was only 0.05 million US$. Later in
the year 2005-06 it was 0.81 million US$, in 2006-07 it was 0.81 million US$,
in 2007-08 it was 2.24 million US$, in 2008-09 it was 16.27 million US$, in 2009-10
it was 28.49 million US$, in 2010-11 it was 49.89 million US$, in 2011-12 it
was 67.73 million US$, in 2012-13 it was 72.85 million US$, in 2013-14 it was 76.00
million US$, in 2014-15 it was 81.42 million US$, in 2015-16 it was 96.53 million
US$, in 2016-17 it was 116.60 million US$ and in the year 2017-18 the total
investment amount became 136.77 million US$.

Zone was only 1.09 million US$, in 2005-06 the amount was 3.63 million US$, in 2006-07
it was 5.86 million US$, in 2007-08 it was 7.07 million US$, in 2008-09 it was 7.86
million US$, in 2009-10 it was 15.39 million US$, in 2010-11 it was 41.35
million US$, in 2011-12 it was 82.88 million US$, in 2012-13 it was 138.59
million US$, in 2013-14 it was 231.76 million US$, in 2014-15 it was 340.02
million US$, in 2015-16 it was 454.76 million US$, in 2016-17 it was 551.31
million US$ and in the year 2017-18 total Export amount became 683.13 million
US$.
