The central authority to permit, establish and maintain Economic Zones in Bangladesh is BEZA which is stand for Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority. BEZA has been established in 2010, working directly under Prime Minister's office (PMO).
The BAZA planned to established around 100 numbers of Special Economic Zones across the country, most of them are owned by the Government.
