The Khilgaon
Flyover was opened on March 2005. Former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia was
formally inaugurated the fly-over. The flyover is around 1.90 km long and its
width is 14 metres. The cost was nearly BD Tk 82 crore. Initially the cost was
estimated at Tk 74 crore 50 lac. In June 2001 the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina
laid the foundation stone of the first ever fly-over of the country.
